Mission and History
Founded in 1957, the Clymer Healing Center began and remains a non-profit, humanitarian care facility devoted to providing affordable, quality health care with the goal ofnatural healing. A group of innovative medical professionals, most notably the late Dr. Gerald E. Poesnecker, grew the Clymer Center into the most well known holistic resource in the world. “Doc,” as he was called, was personally trained by Dr. John Bastyr, founder of the Bastyr University School of Naturopathic Medicine in Seattle.
Dr. Poesnecker and his colleagues devoted their lives to discerning a cause, providing information about and treatment of the devastating symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. Renowned author of It’s Only Natural, Chronic Fatigue Unmasked, and Mastering Your Life, Dr. Poesnecker offered unique and valuable perspectives on coping with these conditions and healing rather than masking their symptoms.
Effective Healing
Dr. Poesnecker personally chose Clymer’s current executive director D. Andrew Neville, N.D. to succeed him and continue the alternative, holistic treatments with which Doc had so much success. Based on the early research and findings of the Center, Dr. Neville and his caring staff are able to return thousands of chronic fatigue sufferersfrom around the world to active and productive lives.
If you are disappointed with past medical advice, diagnoses, treatment or results, try an alternative approach developed by experts to help you reclaim your life. Highly individualized patient care is a hallmark of Clymer Healing Center’s treatment philosophy.
Flexible Innovative Options
Outpatients may request an Adrenal Stress Index test and remedy therapies may be recommended.
For more comprehensive treatment of severe or complex conditions, Clymer Center offers two healing guest houses. These homelike environments located on the grounds in a country setting are conducive to healing and designed to speed recovery. For a small daily fee, inpatients can receive the full benefits of all active, passive and remedy therapies, as well as extensive diagnostic tests.
Clymer Healing Center offers a unique blend of the best of classic naturopathic and chiropractic therapies and innovative, ultra-modern techniques such as low-light laser therapy and SkaSYSâ bioenergetic testing that is rarely seen in our medical community today. Find your way back to a healthy life!
IN MEMORIAM
Dr. Gerald R. Poesnecker
We deeply regret to announce the passing of Dr. G.E. Poesnecker, beloved Director of the Clymer Healing Research Center. Dr. Poesnecker died of natural causes on June 26, 2003 after a prolonged illness. His constant devotion to his work and the love for his patients, beyond the duties of a doctor, will always be remembered. Dr. Poesnecker’s legacy of healing the body and the soul stays with us, and we will always remember the joy and enthusiasm he brought to the Center.
Fortunately, before his passing, he was able to complete a thorough and comprehensive training of his protégé and replacement, Andrew Neville, N.D. In the year prior to his death, he passed to Andrew Neville the 45 years of experience he had in successfully helping Chronic Fatigue Syndrome patients from all over the world. Andrew Neville is a Naturopath, a graduate of the re-known Bastyr University of Naturopathic Medicine. Andrew Neville, N.D. continues in the long tradition of the Clymer Healing Center, providing highly individualized nutritional care using “cutting edge” scientifically researched natural healing agents. His specialty is CFS and Fibromyalgia.
Andrew Neville does not diagnose or treat diseases and he works under direct supervision from his associate medical and osteopathic physicians at the Woodland's Healing Research Center located 200 yards "up the road" from the Clymer Healing Center. This team of healing practitioners has one goal in mind: that is to truly serve those who seek their services. |
